SMD TYPE INFRARED RECEIVER MODULE GRM-4033H4C6-ET2

The GRM-4033H4C6-ET2 is an SMD Type infrared receiver module designed for remote control and other applications that require improved ambient light rejection. It integrates a PIN diode and a preamplifier IC on a single leadframe, enclosed in an epoxy package with a special IR filter. This module offers excellent performance in disturbed ambient light conditions and provides protection against uncontrolled output pulses. It is compatible with TTL and CMOS logic and operates on a 3.0-Volt supply, resulting in low power consumption.

Recommended Method of Storage

For moisture sensitive level (MSL) 4 storage and use:

  • Shelf life in sealed bag: 12 months at < 40 C and < 80% relative humidity (RH) from the bag seal date.
  • After bag opening, devices must be mounted within 48 hours of factory conditions (< 30 C/60%RH) if subjected to reflow solder or other high temperature process.
  • If moisture absorbent material has faded or storage time is exceeded, baking treatment is required. Recommended conditions: 505 C for 24 hours (refer to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 for bake procedure).

Caution

When using and storing this device:

  • Store and use in environments free from forces causing transformation or quality change, corrosive gases, sea breeze, and extreme humidity.
  • Solder lead-pins within specified ratings. Do not apply extra force after soldering.
  • Do not wash the device. Wipe stains on the diode side with a soft cloth. Solvents like ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol may be used.
  • To prevent static electricity damage, ensure human body and soldering iron are grounded before use.
  • Place decoupling devices between Vcc and GND to reduce noise from the power supply line.
  • The performance of remote-control systems depends on environmental conditions and peripheral parts. Customers should evaluate the system's performance in its intended environment with all components, including the receiver module.
