Product Overview
The VEML6040 is an RGBW color sensor that integrates photodiodes, amplifiers, and analog/digital circuits on a single CMOS chip. It measures red, green, blue, and white light, enabling dynamic adjustment of backlight brightness and color temperature based on ambient light for improved visual comfort. Utilizing FiltronTM technology, it closely matches human eye spectral sensitivity and offers excellent temperature compensation for stable output. The sensor is operated via an I2C (SMBus compatible) interface and operates within a voltage range of 2.5 V to 3.6 V. It is packaged in a lead (Pb)-free 4-pin OPLGA package, ensuring market-proven reliability.
