The VCNL3020 is a fully integrated proximity sensor featuring an infrared emitter within the package. It offers 16-bit resolution, standard I2C communication, and an interrupt function. Designed for mobile devices, it enables features like touch screen locking and power saving. Its integrated components include an infrared emitter (IRED), proximity sensor (PD), and signal conditioning IC, providing excellent crosstalk immunity and ambient light suppression. The proximity detection range extends up to 200 mm.
