The LM75A/B/C is an industrial-standard digital temperature sensor and thermal monitor designed for general system thermal management. It offers precise temperature measurement with an error of less than 1C across a wide operating range of -40C to +125C, featuring good temperature linearity. This sensor supports IC communication, allowing up to eight devices on a single bus, and includes an over-temperature alarm function. Programmable high and low temperature limits and an ALERT pin enable its use as a thermostat or over-temperature alarm. The LM75A operates from a single +2.7V to +5.5V power supply and is factory calibrated, eliminating the need for additional user processing of temperature output. It is an ideal choice for applications such as base stations, electronic test equipment, office electronics, and personal computers where thermal management is critical.
