Product Description
The TSSP4P38 is a compact infrared detector module designed for proximity sensing applications. It operates by receiving 38 kHz modulated signals and features peak sensitivity at 940 nm. The module's output pulse length is proportional to the amount of reflected light from the detected object. Key advantages include a sensing range of up to 2 meters, integration of photo detector and preamplifier in a single package, low supply current, EMI shielding, suppression of visible light via an IR filter, and insensitivity to supply voltage ripple and noise. Applications include object approach detection for displays and consoles, signaling alarms, simple gesture controls, differentiating vehicle presence in parking lots, reflective sensors for toilet flush, and navigational sensors for robotics.
