Product Description
The OP505 and OP506 series are NPN silicon phototransistors, while the OP535 series is an NPN silicon photodarlington transistor. All devices are housed in a blue-tinted T-1 (3 mm) epoxy package. The OP505 and OP535 offer a narrow receiving angle for precise on-axis coupling, ideal for space-limited and interruptive applications detecting semi-transparent infrared media. The OP506 provides a wider receiving angle for broader application coverage. The OP505W and OP506W variants feature the widest receiving angle for uniform reception over a large area. Devices are 100% production tested using infrared light for compatibility with Optek's GaAs and GaAIAs emitters.
