The VEML6035 is a 16-bit, low-power, high-sensitivity CMOS ambient light sensor with an I2C interface. It offers an active interruption feature, excellent temperature compensation, and Vishay's patented Filtron technology for spectral sensitivity matching human eye response. The sensor is suitable for applications requiring backlight dimming, on/off lighting control, and optical switching, even under tinted glass. It boasts high ALS sensitivity, flicker noise rejection, and a programmable shutdown mode for reduced current consumption.
