MLS (Hybrid) Linear Position Sensor

The MLS (Hybrid) Linear Position Sensor utilizes AMR gradient sensing technology to detect linear displacement, movements, and velocities with high precision. It outputs sine and cosine signals proportional to position, making it suitable for evaluation by standard ASICs. The sensor is designed to be highly reliable, insensitive to air gap fluctuations, and exhibits low interference field sensitivity. Applications include linear measurements in dirty environments and precise angular measurements using pole wheels. The sensor works by combining two magneto resistive Wheatstone bridges with a magnetic scale, requiring pole stripes that match the sensor's design pole pitch. Accuracy is typically within 1% of the pole pitch, dependent on the magnetic scale and sensor-to-scale distance.
