The MLS (Hybrid) Linear Position Sensor utilizes an AMR gradient sensor to detect linear displacement, movements, and velocities with high precision. It offers sine and cosine output signals, compatible with standard ASICs, making it suitable for signal evaluation. The sensor is insensitive to air gap fluctuations and homogenous magnetic stray fields due to its anisotropic magneto resistance principle. It is highly reliable and exhibits low interference field sensitivity. Applications include linear displacement, movements, and velocities in dirty environments, as well as precise angular measurement using pole wheels. The sensor works in conjunction with magnetic scales that match its design pole pitch.
