The HAL 83xP is a robust, multi-purpose, programmable linear Hall-effect sensor family designed for demanding industrial and automotive applications. It offers improved quality, extended functionality, and enhanced performance compared to previous versions. The sensors are programmable, allowing for customization of magnetic field range, sensitivity, output quiescent voltage, and output voltage range via a non-volatile memory. They feature a temperature-compensated Hall plate, A/D converter, digital signal processing, and protection devices. The HAL 83xP family consists of HAL 830P and HAL 835P, with HAL 835P offering a full feature set and maximum performance. These sensors are suitable for angle or distance measurements when paired with a magnet and are programmable by modulating the supply voltage, eliminating the need for an additional programming pin. They are designed for hostile environments, operating with a typical 5 V supply voltage and an ambient temperature range of -40 C to 160 C. The HAL 83xP is available in the TO92UT package and is AECQ 100 qualified.
