The RPLIDAR A3M1 is a next-generation, low-cost 360-degree 2D laser scanner (LIDAR) solution developed by SLAMTEC. It offers high-speed laser ranging with up to 16,000 samples per second and features SLAMTEC's patented OPTMAG technology for enhanced stability and longevity. The RPLIDAR A3M1 performs 2D 360-degree scans within a 25-meter range, generating 2D point cloud data suitable for mapping, localization, and environment modeling. It excels in detecting long-distance objects, alternating white/black objects, and objects under direct sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor map building. The device supports two operating modes: enhanced mode for optimal indoor mapping and outdoor mode for reliable resistance to daylight interference. The typical scanning frequency is 10Hz (600rpm), adjustable between 5-20Hz. At 10Hz, the sampling rate is 16kHz with an angular resolution of 0.225. The RPLIDAR A3M1 is designed to meet IEC-60825 Class 1 eye-safety standards.
