Product Overview
The STK3331-A is an integrated ambient and infrared light to digital converter featuring a built-in IR LED and I2C interface. It offers robust backlight/display brightness control through ambient light sensing and proximity estimation with an interrupt function via infrared sensing. The device incorporates a photodiode, timing controller, and ADC on a single chip. Its ambient light sensing exhibits a spectral response close to the human eye, suitable for a wide range of light intensities. For proximity sensing, the spectral response is optimized for 940nm infrared light. The STK3331-A provides programmable current settings for the IR LED, noise cancellation for ambient IR rejection, excellent temperature compensation, and on-chip refresh rate setting without external components. A software shutdown mode is available for power-saving applications. The operating voltage range is 1.7V to 3.0V.
