Product Overview
The STK33B62 is an integrated ambient light sensor and proximity sensor featuring a built-in 940nm VCSEL diode and I2C interface. It offers robust backlight/display brightness control through ambient light sensing and proximity estimation with an interrupt function. The device boasts excellent spectral response close to the human eye for ambient light and is optimized for 940nm infrared light for proximity sensing. It includes programmable VCSEL current settings, noise cancellation for ambient IR rejection, and on-chip refresh rate settings. Software shutdown mode is available for power saving applications. The STK33B62 operates within a voltage range of 1.7V to 2.0V and is suitable for mobile phones, smartphones, and PDAs.
