Product Overview
The GL5 Series LDR Sensor, also known as a photoresistor, is a semiconductor device whose conductivity changes with light intensity. This characteristic allows for its use in various applications requiring light-dependent control. Constructed with epoxy resin encapsulation, these sensors offer good reliability, small size, high sensitivity, fast response speed, and good spectral characteristics. They are widely used in toys, lighting, cameras, and industrial control systems.

Test Conditions
- Maximum Applied Voltage: Maximum voltage that can be continuously applied to the component in darkness.
- Dark Resistance: Resistance value 10 seconds after turning off the light at 10Lux.
- Maximum Power Dissipation: Maximum power dissipation at an ambient temperature of 25.
- Bright Resistance: Test value under 10Lux light (standard light source, color temperature 2856K) after 2 hours of illumination at 400-600Lux.
- Gamma Value: Logarithm of the ratio of standard resistance values at 10Lux and 100Lux illuminance. = Lg (R10/R100)/Lg (100/10) =Lg(R10/R100) where R10 and R100 are resistance values at 10Lux and 100Lux illuminance respectively (tolerance of is 0.1).
Packaging and Precautions
- Small package: 500 pieces; Large package: 2000 pieces.
- Avoid storing photoresistors in humid or high-temperature environments.
- Recommended soldering is at a distance of 4mm from the ceramic base, ensuring soldering temperature is 260 - 280 and completed within 3 seconds, not exceeding the rated range. Avoid applying external force to the leads during or after soldering. Non-reusable soldering.
