Product Overview
The GL5 Series LDR Sensor is a light-dependent resistor (LDR) crafted from semiconductor material whose conductivity varies with illuminance. This characteristic allows for the creation of LDRs in various shapes and light-receiving areas. These sensors are widely utilized in industries such as toys, lighting, and photography. Key features include epoxy resin encapsulation for good reliability, small size, high sensitivity, fast response speed, and good spectral characteristics. Applications range from automatic exposure control in cameras and photoelectric control to indoor light management, alarms, industrial control, photocontrolled switches, photocontrolled lights, and electronic toys.

Test Conditions:
- Maximum Applied Voltage: Maximum continuous voltage that can be applied to the component in darkness.
- Dark Resistance: Resistance value 10 seconds after light is turned off at 10Lux.
- Maximum Power Dissipation: Maximum power dissipation at an ambient temperature of 25.
- Bright Resistance: Test value under 10Lux light (standard light source, color temperature 2856K) after being illuminated for 2 hours with 400-600Lux light.
- Gamma () Value: The logarithm of the ratio of standard resistance values at 10Lux and 100Lux illuminance. = Lg(R10/R100)/Lg(100/10) = Lg(R10/R100), where R10 and R100 are resistance values at 10Lux and 100Lux illuminance respectively (tolerance of is 0.1).
Packaging & Precautions:
- Small package: 500 pieces; Large package: 2000 pieces.
- Avoid storing light-dependent resistors in humid or high-temperature environments.
- Recommended soldering is at least 4mm away from the ceramic base, with a soldering temperature of 260 - 280 for a maximum of 3 seconds. Do not exceed the rated range. Avoid applying external force to the leads during or after soldering. Soldering cannot be repeated.
