The WH-N type formaldehyde gas sensor utilizes a micro fuel cell principle for detection. When formaldehyde gas is present, gas molecules rapidly reach the core detection unit through natural diffusion and concentration polarization. An oxidation reaction occurs at the anode, while oxygen undergoes a reduction reaction at the cathode, forming a closed-loop reaction. The generated current is directly proportional to the formaldehyde gas concentration, allowing for accurate quantification of formaldehyde levels. This sensor features a pioneering solid electrolyte for fuel cells, ensuring safety, reliability, and a long lifespan. It boasts excellent anti-interference capabilities, unaffected by low-concentration interfering gases. As a passive device, it requires no external excitation during reaction, consuming zero power, making it ideal for portable instruments and battery-powered applications. Typical applications include smart homes, smartphones, wearable devices, smart buildings, air purifiers, handheld detectors, and air conditioners.
