Product Overview
The ISL29102 is a low-power, ambient light-to-voltage nonlinear converter designed for cost-effective light sensing. It integrates a photodiode array, a nonlinear current amplifier, and a micro-power op amp on a single monolithic IC. The device mimics the human eye's spectral response, with peak sensitivity at 550nm and a range from 400nm to 600nm, effectively rejecting UV and IR light. Its square root amplification extends the dynamic input luminance range from 0.3 lux to 10,000 lux, providing excellent sensitivity at low light conditions. A dark-current compensation circuit minimizes temperature-dependent leakage, further enhancing low-light sensitivity. The integrated 1A op amp offers output voltage driving capability for heavier loads. The ISL29102 is housed in an ultra-compact 2mmx2.1mm ODFN surface mount package and operates from -40C to +85C.
