Detects infrared ray variations. May not detect lack of movement or temperature change. Can detect non-human heat sources (animals, sunlight, strong light, HVAC). Detection can be hindered by glass/acrylic. Non-movement or quick movements may be difficult to sense. Detection range can expand with significant temperature differences. Occasional unexpected output due to pyro-electric element nature. Avoid environments with excessive moisture, condensation, frost, salt air, dust, or corrosive gases. Not waterproof or dustproof. Avoid overheating, oscillations, and shocks.

Handling Cautions

Hand solder only (max 350 for 3s). Mount on a printed circuit board. Do not wash with liquids. Do not use if dropped. Protect against static electricity (200V). Use shielded cables and minimize wiring length. Surge absorption elements are highly recommended. Use a stabilized power supply.
