The OPB708, OPB740, OPB740WZ, and associated series of reflective object sensors are designed for non-contact object detection. Each sensor comprises an infrared or visible red Light Emitting Diode (LED) paired with an NPN silicon phototransistor or photodarlington. These devices are housed in a black plastic enclosure with converging optical axes, providing a focused field of view for enhanced sensitivity and depth of field. The OPB7_ _WZ series features UL-approved wiring and various lens options for dust protection or improved target resolution. They are suitable for applications in assembly line and machine automation, safety systems, end-of-travel sensing, and door sensing.
