Safety Precautions
Do not exceed the sensor's ratings or environmental conditions. Avoid using in freezing or condensation environments. Ensure proper fire-prevention and maintenance measures. Verify pin layout before connecting. Do not use disassembled or remodeled sensors. Consider failure modes (short-circuiting, open-circuiting, temperature rises) for safety-critical equipment.
Operating Precautions
The sensor detects variations in infrared rays and may not detect in cases of lack of movement or temperature change. It can also detect heat sources other than human bodies (e.g., small animals, sunlight, strong light beams, sudden temperature changes). Detection may be difficult through glass or acrylic, or with non-movement or quick movements. Detection area can expand with significant temperature differences. Unnecessary detection signals may occur due to the nature of the pyroelectric element. Optimal operating conditions include temperatures within rated values, 15-85% Rh humidity (avoid condensation/freezing), and 86-106kPa pressure. Avoid overheating, oscillations, shocks, moisture, salt air, dust, and corrosive gases. Handle with care regarding soldering temperatures (max 350 for 3 seconds), static electricity (200V), wiring (use shielded cables, minimize length), voltage surges, and power supply noise.
