Product Overview
The AS5171 is a high-resolution absolute angular position sensor designed for precise angle measurement. It utilizes Hall sensor technology to measure the orthogonal component of magnetic flux density over a full-turn rotation, compensating for external stray magnetic fields. Available in analog (AS5171A) and digital (AS5171B) output interfaces, the AS5171B can be programmed as PWM or SENT-compliant. The device operates at a 5V supply voltage with overvoltage and reverse polarity protection. Its System in Package (SIP) integrates the sensor die and decoupling capacitors, eliminating the need for additional external components and PCB. The AS5171 is defined as a Safety Element out of Context (SEooC) according to ISO26262.
