Product Description
The KW715 series reflective assembly integrates a GaAs LED and a Photologic sensor within an IR transmissive housing. Designed to detect paper at 0.5" (12.7 mm), these sensors offer a wide operating distance range and can detect reflective objects at various distances, dependent on the material's reflectivity. They serve as replacements for conventional mechanical limit switches where longevity and reliability are paramount. The sensors feature a snap-mount design for 0.036" (0.914 mm) thick, 20-gauge material with a 0.315" x 0.472" (8.0 mm x 12.0 mm) rectangular opening. The panel-mount plastic housing shields against stray light and terminates with 18" (457 mm) UL-approved 26 AWG wire leads. The LED is internally current-limited for convenience. Output options include Totem-Pole or Open-Collector, with inverted output configurations available for both.
