Product Overview

The NSM2012 is a high-accuracy, Hall-effect-based current sensor IC featuring a low on-resistance of 1.2m for reduced heat loss. It utilizes NOVOSENSE's innovative isolation technology and signal conditioning for high isolation levels, sensing current through an internal busbar. A differential Hall pair provides immunity to external stray magnetic fields. The NSM2012 supports both ratiometric and fixed output modes, with the fixed mode offering reduced sensitivity to common-mode variations like temperature through differential ADC sampling. Compared to shunt resistor and isolated op-amp solutions, it eliminates the need for a primary side power supply, simplifying layout and offering high isolation withstand voltage and lifetime stability. In high-side monitoring, it operates up to 600Vpk and withstands 6kV surge voltage without external protection. Integrated temperature compensation and factory calibration ensure accuracy across the working temperature range without secondary programming. Available in 3.3V/5V versions.
