OH34N - SOT23-3 Single-Pole Hall Effect Switch IC
The OH34N is a single-pole Hall effect switch IC designed for various position and speed detection applications. It features a wide operating voltage range, fast switching speed, and excellent consistency. The device is internally composed of a reverse voltage protector, voltage regulator, Hall voltage generator, differential amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and an open-collector output stage, converting magnetic field signals into digital voltage outputs. Usage Notes
1. For open-collector (OC) output circuits, a pull-up resistor (RL) is required between the power supply and the output terminal. 2. It is recommended to add protection circuits, such as large capacitors and Zener diodes, to absorb power fluctuations, especially in harsh environments like brushless DC motors and automotive electronics. 3. Avoid reverse polarity connection; while some models have internal reverse protection, prolonged reverse connection can cause damage. CMOS circuits require anti-static protection. 4. Minimize mechanical stress on the device and leads during installation and handling. Avoid stress within 3mm of the lead root. 5. Consider magnetic field attenuation, temperature, and motion when designing applications. Use a Gaussmeter to measure magnetic field strength for accurate selection. 6. High temperatures can damage the device. Strictly adhere to soldering temperature and time limits: manual soldering should not exceed 260 for less than 3 seconds. Refer to lead-free soldering processes for reflow and wave soldering, with a typical reflow profile provided.
