Usage Notes

  • The basic design principle is that the static output voltage (B=0GS) is half of the supply voltage. For a 5V operating voltage, the midpoint voltage is approximately 2.5V. When the S pole is aligned with the Hall circuit face, the output voltage increases above the midpoint. When the N pole is aligned, the output voltage decreases below the midpoint. The output voltage range is approximately 0-5V.
  • The recommended operating voltage is 5V.
  • This circuit is suitable for detecting magnetic fields in the hundreds of Gauss. For larger or smaller magnetic fields, please consult for alternative Hall element models.
