Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistors are electronic components designed for temperature sensing and compensation. They are characterized by a decrease in electrical resistance as temperature increases. These thermistors offer excellent solderability and high stability in various application environments, along with superior long-term aging stability and high precision in resistance and B-constants. Basic Characteristics

  • Zero Power Resistance: Measured at a specified ambient temperature under zero power conditions.
  • B Constant: Calculated between two specified ambient temperatures.
  • Thermal Diffusion Constant: Power required for a 1C temperature rise due to self-heating.
  • Thermal Time Constant: Time required for the thermistor temperature to change by 63.2% of the total temperature change when ambient temperature shifts.
  • Rated Power: Electrical power required to raise the thermistor temperature to a specified level due to self-heating at 25C ambient.
  • Allowable Operating Current: Current that keeps the thermistor's temperature rise below 1C.
