Product Overview
The MC12G and MC12T are highly integrated, dual-channel capacitive sensing chips designed for precise measurement of minute capacitance changes. Utilizing ultra-high frequency resonant excitation (10-100MHz configurable) and digital signal processing, these chips offer a measurement output of a 16-bit digital signal with a capacitance resolution as high as 0.5fF. They feature a fully digital design with I2C communication up to 1MHz, an integrated low-noise LDO for wide input voltage compatibility, and an on-chip temperature sensor for compensation. The MC12G comes in a compact QFN16 package, while the MC12T offers a streamlined SOP8 package for cost-effective dual-channel applications. These chips are suitable for a wide range of applications including smart home appliances (liquid level, proximity, touch), automotive fluid sensing, and industrial applications like soil moisture analysis.
