Product Overview
The EMC1403 and EMC1404 are high-accuracy, low-cost System Management Bus (SMBus) temperature sensors designed for complex environmental monitoring applications. They feature advanced capabilities such as Resistance Error Correction (REC) and Beta Compensation, which support CPU diodes requiring the BJT/transistor model for processors down to 45nm. Automatic diode type detection ensures robust temperature measurements regardless of processor technology. The EMC1403 monitors three temperature channels (two external, one internal), while the EMC1404 monitors four (three external, one internal). These sensors offer 1C accuracy for external diode temperatures and 2C for internal diode temperatures, providing a flexible and accurate solution for critical temperature monitoring in notebooks, desktops, industrial, and embedded applications.
