Product Overview
The EMC1182 is a high-accuracy, low-cost, 1.8V System Management Bus (SMBus) compatible dual-channel temperature sensor. It features Resistance Error Correction (REC), Beta Compensation for CPU diodes, and automatic diode type detection, making it a robust solution for complex environmental monitoring. Its 1.8V SMBus capability ensures compatibility with modern processors in tablets and smartphones. The sensor monitors one external and one internal temperature channel with 1C accuracy. Advanced features like frequency hopping and analog filters allow for remote diode traces up to eight inches without signal degradation. Beta Compensation corrects for low, variable beta transistors in fine geometry processors, and automatic beta detection optimizes sensor settings for various processor technologies, eliminating the need for user-specific configurations.
