Product Overview

The LM75B is a digital temperature sensor with an integrated bandgap sensor and an 11-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It offers overheating alert functionality and supports both normal operation and low-power shutdown modes. In normal operation, the chip periodically monitors ambient temperature. In shutdown mode, the chip powers down to minimize power consumption. Communication with the controller is established via a two-wire I2C serial bus interface. The device features multiple internal data registers, including a status register for chip settings (operating mode, OS mode, OS polarity, OS error queue), a temperature register for storing detected digital temperatures, and overheat detection and hysteresis registers for programmable thresholds. The I2C serial interface supports 3-bit logic address pins, allowing up to 8 devices on the same bus.
