Product Overview
The MIC184 is a versatile digital thermal supervisor capable of measuring temperature using either its own internal sensor or an inexpensive external sensor. It features a 2-wire I2C/SMBus compatible interface, pin and software backward compatibility to the LM75, and a 9-bit Sigma-Delta ADC. Programmable thermostatic settings, an open-drain comparator/interrupt output, interrupt mask and status bits, and a low-power shutdown mode are included. The device offers fail-safe response to diode faults and operates over a 2.7V to 5.5V power supply range. Up to eight devices can share the same bus. Applications include desktop, server, and notebook computers, printers, copiers, test and measurement equipment, and consumer electronics.
