The MCP9700/9700A and MCP9701/9701A are analog temperature sensors that convert temperature into an analog voltage. These low-cost, low-power Linear Active Thermistor ICs offer an alternative to traditional thermistors by eliminating the need for additional signal-conditioning circuits. They are optimized for direct connection to microcontroller Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) and are suitable for a wide range of applications requiring temperature monitoring. The devices are immune to parasitic capacitance and can drive large capacitive loads, offering flexibility in PCB layout.
