Microchip TCN75A Digital Temperature Sensor
The Microchip TCN75A is a digital temperature sensor designed to convert ambient temperatures into a digital word with high accuracy. It features user-programmable registers for flexible temperature-sensing applications, allowing for user-selectable resolution, power-saving modes (Shutdown and One-shot), and configurable temperature alert and hysteresis limits. The device outputs an alert signal when the temperature exceeds specified limits, with options for active-low or active-high comparator output for thermostat operation, or interrupt output for microprocessor-based systems. Its industry-standard 2-wire, I2C compatible serial interface enables control of up to eight devices on a single bus, making it ideal for low-cost, sophisticated multi-zone temperature monitoring.
