The Microchip Technology Inc. TCN75A is a digital temperature sensor that converts ambient temperatures ranging from -40C to +125C into a digital word with a typical accuracy of 1C. It features user-programmable registers for flexible temperature sensing applications, allowing for user-selectable temperature measurement resolutions from 0.5C down to 0.0625C. The device supports power-saving Shutdown and One-shot modes, and can generate an alert signal with configurable polarity for thermostat or interrupt operations. Its industry-standard 2-wire, I2C compatible serial interface enables control of up to eight devices on a single bus, making it ideal for low-cost, sophisticated multi-zone temperature monitoring applications.
