The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP9800/1/2/3 family of digital temperature sensors are high-accuracy, 12-bit resolution temperature-to-digital converters designed for a wide range of applications. These sensors convert temperatures between -55C and +125C into a digital word, offering user-selectable resolution from 9-bit to 12-bit. They feature a 2-wire I2C/SMBus compatible serial interface, low operating current, and power-saving modes like Shutdown and One-shot measurement. An alert output provides notification when temperature limits are exceeded, with configurable polarity for thermostat or interrupt operation.
