Product Overview
The TCN75 is a serially programmable temperature sensor designed to notify a host controller when ambient temperature exceeds a user-defined set point. It offers programmable hysteresis and features a standard 2-wire serial interface compatible with industry-standard protocols. The device can function as a simple comparator for thermostat operation or as a temperature event interrupt output. With the ability to support up to eight TCN75 devices on the same bus, it is ideal for multizone monitoring. A shutdown mode is available for low standby power consumption. The TCN75 powers up in Comparator mode with default settings of 80C set point and 5C hysteresis, allowing for independent operation as a stand-alone thermostat. Its small physical size, low cost, and ease of use make it suitable for various system management schemes.
