MIC284 Two-Zone Thermal Supervisor

The MIC284 is a versatile digital thermal supervisor designed for CPU thermal supervision in computing applications. It measures both local and remote temperatures using an 8-bit Sigma-Delta ADC and communicates via a 2-wire SMBus-compatible interface. Key features include programmable thermostat settings, an open-drain interrupt output pin for alarms or thermostatic control, and an open-drain overtemperature output pin for fan control or hardware shutdown. The device offers low power consumption and failsafe response to diode faults, making it suitable for desktop, server, and notebook computers, as well as power supplies, test and measurement equipment, wireless systems, and networking hardware.
