Product Overview
The MSA3S02 is a tri-axial, low-g accelerometer with an I2C digital output designed for consumer applications. It offers dynamically selectable full-scale ranges of 2g/4g/8g/16g and supports acceleration measurements with output data rates from 1Hz to 1000Hz. This accelerometer is available in an ultra-small 2mm x 2mm x 0.95mm LGA package and operates reliably over a temperature range of -40C to +85C. Key features include an ultra-small package, user-selectable ranges and data output rates, I2C interface, one interrupt pin, 12-bit resolution, low power consumption, and factory-programmed offset and sensitivity. It is suitable for a wide range of applications including user interfaces for mobile phones and tablets, display orientation, gesture recognition, vibration monitoring, inclination and tilt sensing, pedometers, gaming, and free fall detection.
