The Magntek MT6825 is a next-generation high-resolution, high-speed magnetic angle encoder IC based on advanced Anisotropic Magnetoresistance (AMR) technology. It offers 0-360 absolute angle position detection with 18-bit resolution and supports rotational speeds up to 25,000 RPM with a system latency of 2 s. The device operates reliably within a wide temperature range of -40C to 125C and provides multiple output options including Incremental ABZ, Incremental UVW, PWM absolute, and SPI bus. Its design is insensitive to magnet processing and mechanical installation errors, making it a robust alternative to traditional optical encoders. Applications include absolute angle position sensing, DC brushless motor control, servo motor control, and closed-loop stepper motor control.
