The Littelfuse 59040 Press-Fit Firecracker Reed Sensor is a compact, cylindrical magnetically-operated proximity sensor designed for non-contact position and limit sensing, security, level sensing, and linear actuator applications. It features a press-fit installation that requires no additional mounting hardware, making it ideal for high-moisture and contaminated environments. The sensor operates through non-ferrous materials and offers a choice of normally open, normally closed, or change-over contacts with customizable sensitivity, cable length, and connector options. It is designed to function optimally with the 57040 actuator (sold separately).
