Product Overview
KEMET's QMS thin-film digital pyroelectric infrared motion sensors offer high sensitivity and fast response times for accurate motion detection. Featuring a high dynamic range, these sensors can detect motion at various distances. The 2x2 pixel version enables direction determination. Integrated into a small SMD package, they utilize a digital, current-mode read-out with industry-standard I2C communication for easy microcontroller integration and tuning. Programmable gain and filtering provide design flexibility, while ultra-low power consumption and motion-triggered wake-up modes enhance efficiency. These sensors are suitable for applications including contactless switching, office automation, home appliances, lighting, displays, air conditioners, TVs, PC monitors, rice cookers, and smart toilets. Sensor modules and evaluation kits are available for rapid prototyping.
