The KTP Semiconductor DS18B20A is a digital temperature sensor offering 9 to 12-bit configurable temperature resolution and user-defined high/low temperature alarm thresholds. It communicates with microcontrollers via a single-wire interface and can operate in both external power and parasitic power modes. Its wide operating voltage range, low power consumption, and single-wire interface make it ideal for various temperature control systems. Multiple DS18B20A devices can be connected to a single microcontroller for large-area temperature monitoring. Key features include unique 64-bit serial codes for each device, simple multi-point distributed temperature sensing applications, no external components required, and power-over-the-data-line capability.
