The KP253 is a miniaturized Digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor IC designed for precise barometric air pressure measurement. Utilizing a capacitive principle and surface micromachining with BiCMOS technology, it converts pressure into a 12-bit digital value and communicates via an SPI interface. The sensor also integrates a 12-bit temperature sensor. Key features include high accuracy ( 1.0 kPa), 12-bit pressure and temperature resolution, a power-down mode for reduced consumption, and self-diagnosis capabilities. Its "green" 8-pin SMD housing and automotive qualification make it suitable for advanced automotive, industrial, and consumer applications, including weather stations and altimeters.
