Product Overview
The KP253 is a miniaturized Digital Barometric Air Pressure Sensor IC utilizing a capacitive principle. It features a surface-micromachined design with an integrated signal conditioning circuit in BiCMOS technology. This sensor converts pressure into a 12-bit digital value and communicates via an SPI interface. An integrated temperature sensor provides 12-bit temperature data also accessible through the SPI interface. The KP253 includes a self-diagnostic mode for testing sensor cells and signal paths, easily triggered via an SPI command. Packaged in a green SMD housing, it is suitable for measuring barometric air pressure and other applications requiring high accuracy, sensitivity, and reliability, including automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
