Infineon SRP00264x/SRP00265x Ternary PIN Photodiode with Integrated Preamplifier

The Infineon SRP00264x and SRP00265x are optical receiver modules designed for fiber-optic communication systems, particularly for SONET OC-24 applications. These modules feature an InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode integrated with a low-noise transimpedance amplifier (TIA), making them sensitive receivers for the 2nd and 3rd optical windows (1300 nm and 1550 nm). They are suitable for bit rates up to 1.25 Gbit/s (or up to 2.5 Gbit/s without TIA). Key advantages include high optical sensitivity, fast switching times, low dark current, excellent noise immunity, and high reverse current stability due to their planar structure. The modules are housed in a hermetically sealed TO46 package. Typical applications include receivers for digital cross-connects, digital loop carriers, add/drop-multiplexers, optical network units, and compact transceiver realizations like the BIDI.
