Product Overview
The TLE4998S is a programmable linear Hall sensor designed for highly accurate rotation and position detection, as well as current measurement applications. It features a digital SENT signal output (SAE J2716) with 20-bit Digital Signal Processing (DSP), digital temperature compensation, and 16-bit overall resolution. The sensor operates within the automotive temperature range and offers low drift of the output signal over temperature and lifetime. Programmable parameters stored in EEPROM include SENT unit time, magnetic range and sensitivity (gain), polarity of the output slope, offset, bandwidth, clamping levels, customer temperature compensation coefficients, and memory lock. It is re-programmable until memory lock and supports a single supply voltage of 4.5 - 5.5 V (4.1 - 16 V in extended range). The device offers robust replacement for potentiometers, resistant to humidity, temperature, pollution, and vibration, making it suitable for various automotive applications.
