Product Overview

The TLE4998P8(D) is a high-performance, programmable single/dual linear Hall sensor IC designed for highly accurate angle and position detection. It features two integrated, programmable linear Hall sensor ICs with PWM open-drain output signals, 20-bit digital signal processing, and digital temperature and stress compensation. With a 12-bit overall resolution and an operating automotive temperature range of -40C to 125C, it offers minimal drift over temperature and lifetime. The device is programmable via EEPROM with single-bit error correction, allowing customization of PWM output frequency, magnetic range, sensitivity, offset, bandwidth, clamping levels, and customer temperature compensation coefficients. It supports supply voltages from 4.5V to 5.5V (with an extended range of 4.1V to 16V) and configurable magnetic ranges of 50 mT, 100 mT, or 200 mT. The TLE4998P8(D) is a robust replacement for potentiometers, suitable for linear and angular position sensing in automotive and industrial applications, including safety-critical functions like pedal position, throttle position, and steering torque sensing.
