The TLE4998P8(D) is a high-performance, programmable single/dual linear Hall sensor IC designed for highly accurate angle and position detection. It integrates two individual programmable linear Hall sensors with a digital PWM open-drain output signal, offering 20-bit digital signal processing and digital temperature and stress compensation for excellent stability over temperature and lifetime. The device features a 12-bit overall resolution and operates within an automotive temperature range of -40C to 125C. Its programmability through EEPROM allows for customization of parameters such as PWM output frequency, magnetic range, sensitivity, offset, and bandwidth, with options for customer-specific temperature compensation. The sensor is suitable for safety-critical applications and serves as a robust, contactless replacement for potentiometers.
