Product Overview

The LM75BDP is a digital temperature sensor featuring an integrated bandgap temperature sensor and an 11-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It provides an over-temperature alert function and supports both normal operation and low-power modes. In normal operation, the chip periodically monitors ambient temperature. In low-power mode, the chip is shut down to minimize power consumption. Communication with the controller is established via a two-wire I2C serial bus interface. The device includes multiple data registers: a status register for chip settings (operating mode, OS mode, OS polarity, OS error queue), a temperature register for detected digital temperature, and over-temperature detection and hysteresis registers for programmable thresholds. The I2C interface supports three optional logic address pins, allowing up to eight devices to be connected on the same bus.
