The Honeywell HEL-700 Series Thin Film Platinum RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors) are engineered for precise temperature monitoring and control in demanding industrial environments. These RTDs offer a linear change in resistance relative to temperature, delivering high linearity, stability, accuracy, and a wide operating temperature range within a compact, fast-response package. Designed for temperatures from -75 C to 540 C [-100 F to 1000 F], the HEL-700 Series features fully assembled, ready-to-use elements that eliminate the need for fragile splices. Manufactured using a thin platinum layer on an alumina substrate and laser-trimmed for precise resistance interchangeability, these sensors are glassed, wired, and potted or ceramic fired into a cylindrical alumina package with either TFE Teflon- or fiberglass-insulated lead wires. Key advantages include interchangeability, accuracy, linearity, fast response, and a ceramic case material.
